Pink Out Volleyball Game
On Thursday, Sept 29th, Liberty will host City High for Soph/JV/Varsity Volleyball for the annual Pink Out game. In support of Team Breast Friends of Iowa City, the night will include a bake sale (hosted by the Liberty INSHOC club), a silent auction, a mad money dash, and t-shirt sales in an effort to raise money for TBF. It will also include music by Annie Savage’s group.
Members of Team Breast Friends will be present to spread awareness and promote their organization as well. Team Breast Friends is a group of Corridor women founded in 2008 to raise awareness about breast cancer and to help those affected by the disease. Since then, the group has grown significantly and so has its impact, with $500,000 raised and donated to support local women and men going through breast cancer treatment. The organization also aids local families hit hard by the enormous costs of medical care. For more information on their group or events, feel free to head to their website.
