The Lightning Wrestling team takes on Waterloo West In a MVC wrestling dual meet.
The Liberty Lightning Wrestling team looks to improve their season heading into 2019-20. The Bolts are looking to start on a high note with their first meet of the season tonight. The Bolts wrestle Waterloo West. Last year in a close match, the Bolts fell 42-39 to the Wahawks.
After coming off of a 1-5 record, the Bolts look to improve this season. With senior, Kaleb Williams out due to a broken wrist, the team is made up of underclassmen. Elijah Terwilleger, sophomore, should be a standout performer according to injured Williams.
“The team has done an amazing job so far. They have started to step up and face the challenge. I’m very proud of them,” Williams said.
They start their season tonight, December 5th, at Liberty High School at 7 o’clock.
