Liberty Girls Drop Close Game To Dubuque Hempstead

Tuesday January 28th, the Liberty Girls Basketball Team hosted Dubuque Hempstead in a MVC matchup. The Bolts lost in a hard fought game with a score of 65-48. Hempstead having one of the better records in the MVC, the final score showed fight in the Bolts
Sam McPherson, senior, was second in scoring for the team with 13 points and also added 4 rebounds. Haley Napoli, sophomore, scored 10 points while also bringing down 5 rebounds. Other contributors were Kennedy Daugherty, freshman, led the team with 6 rebounds and Neshy Byrd, senior, lead with 2 blocks.
Top Performer
Freshman phenom, Keiko Ono-Fullard, led all scoring with 16 points. Also adding a team high 5 steals and also grabbing 5 rebounds. Ono-Fullard has shown great success and improvement in her short time with the team and looks to continue her growth with the team and on the court.
